From the set : Arabesques invented and engraved by J. D. Dugourc Paris, Chereau, 1782Jean-Démosthène Dugourc (1749-1825) became famous in the designs for theater costumes and in 1780 became a designer for the Cabinet of Monsieur. He worked for the greatest bronzers of the time: Gouthière, Godon and Thomire as well as for the king of Spain under the Empire and competed with Percier and Fontaine.
